Welcome to DessertsPro! I'm Anna Kelly, the baker, recipe developer, and dessert enthusiast behind this site. If you're here, you probably love desserts as much as I do – and trust me, that's saying a lot!

My Baking Journey

My love affair with baking started in my grandmother's kitchen when I was just seven years old. I still remember the smell of her homemade apple pie cooling on the windowsill and the way her chocolate chip cookies could turn any bad day around. Those early memories sparked something in me that's only grown stronger over the years.

After high school, I pursued my passion formally by enrolling in culinary school, where I specialized in pastry arts. I spent several years working in professional kitchens, including a memorable stint at a fine dining restaurant where I learned the importance of precision, creativity, and never being afraid to experiment.

But here's the thing – while I loved the artistry of professional baking, I missed the warmth and joy of home baking. The kind of baking where you don't need fancy equipment or hard-to-find ingredients. The kind where your kitchen gets messy, your kids steal chocolate chips from the bowl, and the end result brings smiles to everyone's faces.

Why I Started DessertsPro

In 2019, I decided to start this blog as a way to share my favorite recipes with home bakers like you. My mission is simple: to prove that you don't need to be a professional chef to create amazing desserts at home.

Every recipe you'll find here has been tested multiple times in my own kitchen. I believe in:

When I'm not covered in flour (which isn't often!), you'll find me experimenting with new flavor combinations, hunting down the perfect chocolate at farmer's markets, or enjoying a good cup of coffee with something sweet, of course.

I live with my family, who are my most honest taste-testers. If a recipe makes it to this blog, it's been kid-approved, spouse-approved, and friend-approved.
